The Student Advisory Council (SAC) is a body of high school students enrolled in the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) with the job of advising the Board of Education and the Superintendent on students’ needs and interests.
YouthVote is a civic engagement program that exposes students to elections and youth-led activism. Twice a year, YouthVote runs a mock election and a student survey, along with elections for the SAC in the spring semester.
Do you want to run for SAC for the next school year? Each school will elect one SAC representative through YouthVote. Applications are due February 24th to Judson Steele, your Principal, your student activities director, or the current SAC reps at your school!
Student delegate forms are available! Student delegates are members of the Student Advisory council that sit next to Superintendent Carlos Garcia and other members of the Board of Ed. to be able to report about student's concerns and projects and hear first-hand about other important decisions and hot topics in our school district.
Applications are in the sidebar to the left, and are due January 25th at 5 PM to Peter Lauterborn. You can also hand them in to Judson Steele or any SAC member.Fill one out today!
