It Gets Better.

Bullying is mean, and a serious issue. The SFPD is showing their support with their video "It Gets Better," to support the LGBTQ community to know that as you get older, it does get better.

Youth Summit

The annual Youth Summit is March 22nd!!
This year's SAC Youth Summit is themed "The Power of Us." Some of the awesome workshops are how to run an effective student government, LGBTQQ, anti-bullying, and grant writing.
The event will be on March 22nd at Fort Mason. Talk to your school's SAC reps, principal, or activities director for a permission slip to go!!!

Run for SAC!!!

SAC has two members from each school, who can Speak up for the issues that are important to YOU and make changes that really matter. Candidate Declaration forms are due FEBRUARY 24TH to Judson Steele, your Principal, your student activities director, or the current SAC reps at your school!

We are getting closer to achieving free muni for youth! Show your support by coming to the big Muni board meeting at 4:30 in room 400 of City Hall on March 6th! Take your chance, during public comment, to tell the board members how important free muni for youth is to you. There is also a Valentines rally to gain more support, at 1 South Van Ness at market, from 4:30 to 5:30. See you there!

Youth Summit March 22nd!

The annual Youth Summit is coming up on March 22nd! SAC will host workships like how to run an effective student government, LGBTQQ, anti-bullying, and grant writing. Talk to your school's ASB advisor or activities director for a field trip permission slip!

Do you want to run for SAC for the next school year? Each school will elect one SAC representative through YouthVote. Applications are due February 24th to Judson Steele, your Principal, your student activities director, or the current SAC reps at your school!

Student delegate forms are available! Student delegates are members of the Student Advisory council that sit next to Superintendent Carlos Garcia and other members of the Board of Ed. to be able to report about student's concerns and projects and hear first-hand about other important decisions and hot topics in our school district.

Applications are in the sidebar to the left, and are due January 25th at 5 PM to Peter Lauterborn. You can also hand them in to Judson Steele or any SAC member.
